By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, last night. Tho weather was lino for tho holiday yesterday morning, but ill tho afternoon a heavy thunder shower put a stop to all sports. At tho Christchurch Cycling Club’s sports on Boxing Day the Wheel Race was won by A. Huston (95yds), with A. R. Barker (90yds) 2, and H. Hallard (50yds) 3. Tho Mile Championship of Canterbury was won by W. Martin, W. Palmer 2, A. Huston 3. W. Martin, in a French motor, mudo a now inilo record, lmin 28 3-ssec, from a flying start. At tho Cathedral to-day thero wero .-pccial memorial services for tho Archbishop of Canterbury. Mr Seddon arrived from Wellington to-day, and loaves for tho Weßt Coaßt tomorrow.
