PROFITABLE BUNNY.

BABBIT INDUSTRY WORTH FOSTERING.

By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright Sydney, Dee. 24. The Government's London commercial agent, reporting on the market for rabbits and hares, says that there is a steady and permanent demand for rubbits, and tbe industry is well worthy of careful fostering. He points out that Victorian and New Zealand rabbits bring a shilling a case more than New South Wales rabbits, owing to the unsuitable packing and inferior quality of the latter. He strongly urges the necessity for improvement in these directions if New South Wales is to retain a position in the trade. During 10 months of the present year 358,334 cwt ot rabbits were imported to Britain, Victoria supplying 149,723, New Zealand 96,310, New South Wales 6,649, and South Australia 4417 cwt.
