[By Telegraph—Frees Association.] Wellington, last night. The following cable has been received from tho Agont-Goneral: —“ Tho mutton market is dull. Tho quantity of mutton going into consumption at the present is very small. Tho average price to-day for Canterbury mutton is 5 id. North Island Did. Lamb markot is quiet. Tho average price of New Zealand lamb, Canterbury brand, is 53d. The beef markot is dull. Supplies of Amoricau chilled beof are largo. New Zealand hinds sd, foros id. Tho butter markot is lifeless. There are heavy supplies of buttor on nand. Tho price of butter to-day is 110 s to 113 s. Tho cheese markot is very firm at 595. Tho hocap market is stoady. Good fair Wellington grado on spot to-day is at £23 10s, January to March shipments £2B 10s.” _____
