BREACHES OF LICENSING ACT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Christchurch, last night. At the Magistrate's Court tn-dav, Thomas Broadway, of the Shades Hotel, was fined 40s and costs, on charges of selling liquor to an intoxicated person and permitting drunkenness on his licensed premises, and the license was endorsed on one charge. H. W. Pier, licensee of the Gladstone Hotel, was fined 403 and costs, and ha his license endorsed for selling liquor after hours.
