YOUNG DUKE is by Standard Duke, imported dam Bide-away,- by Pride of Scotland. Pride of Scotland was imported to New Zealand by Jan. Walls, Esq., Kaiapoi, having been purchased in Glasgow, at the enormous sum of iifteen hundred guineas. Staidard Duke was imported by Mr Chambers, of Ilawke’s Bay. For further information, see Stud Book. It was not purposed to have stood Young Duke this season, and this is only done at special request. All mares sent to Young Duke will be attended to by an experienced man (Mr G. A. S. Taylor), who will make all arrangements as to fees, etc. Young Duke’s services this season will Ix2 placed as low at possible for a sire of his class.
