“ The great Mr Seddon ha 3 reached his own country once more, where he has been received almost as a demigod,” remarks a Sunderland paper, while it is noted in the Referee that Mr Seddon “ made seven public speeches on tho day of his arrival in Now Zealand.” The same paper also states that little Prince Edward, who had overheard his parents talking together about the Ophir trip, suddenly exclaimed: “ Pa, what is the difference between the late Count von’ Moltke and tho present Mr Richard Seddon ?” “ Well, I suppose there is a difference,” said H.R.H., smiling. “Of course there is, pa; one was silent in seven languages, and the other never leaves off talking in one !”
