ARREST OF THE HUMBERTS. CAPTURED IN SPAIN. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Madrid, Dec. 21. The French Ambassador at Spain, receiving an anonymous letter stating that the Humberts wero in Madrid, informed the police, who recognise! Emil Rotnain and Eve Daurignac, who wore implicated in the irauds, entering a house. The police guarded every egress, and summoned the occupants to surrender. They received no answer for 20 minutes. The interval was utilised to destroy papers in the lavatories. Finally the police wero admitted. Monsieur, Marie, and Madame Humbert, Emil Romain, and Eve Daurignac were arrested. Gendarmes prevented the Humberts’ escape by a window. The prisoners reached Madrid on May 9th. They state that they are anxious for extradition to enable them to denounce tho lawyer M. CattaDO, the author of all their misfortunes.
