The first wool sale of the season was held to-day. The catalogue comprised over 13000 bales. There was a full attendance of local, southern, and English buyers. Prices all round showed a satisfactory improvement, low grade coarse crossbred advancing from lid to 2d on last year's rates, and fine bright crossbreds were Id to $d higher. 7 ery little highclass half bred merino was offered, but small parcels in good condition sold up to lOd.
