PRIZE DISTRIBUTIONS.
On Friday last, the kindergarten and ° preparatory school in Palmerston road, , conducted by the Misses Morgan, closed for the Christmas vacation, when the - annual distribution of prizes took place. Following is the prize-list:—lnfant class, , application, Miss Florence Winter; Std. 1., reading and spelling, Master Grenfell r Morgan ; arithmetic, Miss Gretchen Ken--1 nedy ; geography, Master Grenfell Morgan ; application, Master Grevis Winter. .’ Std. 11. : Beading and spelling, Master Alan Hawley; application, Master Gore ' Porter; writing, Master Alan Hawley. ; | Standard III.: English, Master Wilfred ; Cramond ; arithmetic and writing, Master Wilfred Cratnond. Std. IV.: English, Miss Daisy Bennett. Kindergarten work, I Master Alan Hawley ; music, Miss Ivis Maclean ; attendance, Master Alan Hawley ; good conduct, Master Wilfrid Cramond, At the breaking-up ceremony at Miss Aylmer's Preparatory School, Whataupoko, the following prizes were awarded : —Writing, Master Hawea Rees ; reading, Miss Iranui Lunn ; arithmetic, Miss Margot Rees ; writing. Master Allan Muir; mapping, Master Hawea Rees: arithmetic, Master Keith Siddells; reading, Master Douglas Muir; mapping, Master Elliott Hookey; spelling, Master Eric Lunn ; writing, Master Roy Muir; : sewing, Miss Iranui Lunn ; reading and ‘ spelling.
