At a meeting of the Oaiuaru branch of the Pumiers’ Union it was resolved to urge the Government to discontinue cooperative works from now till tho end of April, iu order that men may be available for farm work. A deputation is to wait on the Minister for Lunds on his arrival in Oatnaru, to make the request. One farmer stated that he had lost .£2OO one year through his inability to procure hands to carry out work.
