A Peer in Disgrace.

A tremendous sensation has been caused in London by statements that another scandal of the Oscar Wilde type was about to become public. It is asserted that the man whose name is connected with the affair, and who is a peer, has fled the country, but there is every reason to believe that he is at present lying ill at an English watering place. A report of this affair found its way into print, in guarded language, but every effort will be exerted to prevent further publicity. His name has previously been mentioned, notably a few months ago, in connection with a criminal offence of the most serious nature. The excitement was heightened by the announcement that a well-known society man, Bernard Eraser, has been sentenced to ten years’ penal servitude. With him was also sentenced Arthur Thorold, the sou of a clergyman, connected, as is Fraser, with one' of the oldest and proudest families in the United Kingdom. The prisoners were charged with carrying on a regular campaign to deprive the morals of youth all over the country,
