PACIFIC CABLE.
[e7 TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, last night. An ordinary paid message sent from the Agent-General, London, to Sir Joseph Ward on Tuesday was received over the Pacific Cable at Doubtless Bay within one hour and twenty-two minues of the time of presentation in London. This goes some way to bear out the anticipation that messages will be transmitted over the Pacific C-abie from London and vice j versa within an hour. |
