FIRE AT NAPIER.
By Telegraph—Press Association. | Napier, last night. i The Emerson street lire was confined to i th.vEc groups of buildings, Wiiiiams Bros., j painters, the Tyser Lino offices, and A. 11. Wilson’s, ironmongers. The brigades did | splendid work under very trying conditions, tile lire being difficult to get at. Only tile back part of Wilson's shop was burnt, but the building had a narrow escape, the powder store being badly scorched. The i insurances on the Emerson street (ire are as follows :—Tyser Line building, X 1500; furniture, .6230 (Plm-uix) ; Williams Bros.' buildings, X7OO (in tnc New Zealand, Commercial Union, and Imperial); stock, XI7-10 (in New Zealand, Manchester, and Imperial); A. 11. Wilson’s building, x.IOO (in iioyal Exchange); stock, XIuUU lin Imperial, Norwich Union, and Sun); 0. E. Walker, furniture, XIUO (in Australian Alliance).
