RIVER PLATE MUTTON.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, last night. The Industries and Commerce Department have received the following cable from the Agent General, dated London, 6th inst.: 221,447 carcases of Paver Plate mutton were received into the United Kingdom from the Argentine during last month ; 178,489 carcases were landed at Liverpool, 20,849 at Hull and Newcastle, 12,674 at Plymouth and Southampton, and 973,7 at Cardiff. The average price realised for these shipments was 41 d per lb. There was also 39S9cwt. oi butter landed at London and Liverpool from the Argentine during last month, and the average price realised waslQßs tollo3 per cwt.
