BIG FIRE AT NAPIER.

WORST EXPERIENCED FOR YEARS. (Per Press Association.) Napier. 1 a.m. Tuesday. The largest fire which has occurred here for several years broke out at about two minutes to twelve this evening in the offices used as a shorthand and typewriting school by Hr C. E. Walker. This building was a mass of flames when the fire was discovered, and the Tames quickly spread to the Tyser Line Co’’s brick offices in front of Walker’s, aDd completely gutted them. It has now caught the shop of Messrs Williams Bros.’, oil and color merchants, but is being got under, and will probably be prevented frcm spreading any further. Both Walker’s and the Tyser offices are owned by Mrs Robert Dobson, and are insured as far as can oe learnt for £2OOO, but the loss will probably be over that amount.
