WAGES TO WHARF LABORERS.
(Per Press Association.) Groymouth, last night. At tho sitting of the Conciliation Board to-day, in the matters of the dispute be tween the Wharf Laborers’ Union and all shipping companies trading regularly to Groymouth, an industrial agreement to be in foreo ouo yoar was agreed to by all parties represented. Tho principal clauses aro : Merchandise and general cargo, loading or unloading, to be paid for at Is (3d per hour for day, and 2s per hour £or night work; live stock and coal, 2s por hour for day or night. Slings are not to oxcood 12cwt., and erib time to be allowed but not paid for. Proferonco of work to bo given to Unionists, and no preforonco given to one mornbor over another, othor things being equal. Contract work to bo at rate of pay and conditions as if casual labor was employed. Mon to bo callod for night work and not requirod, to be paid ono hour and full pay for further time kept waiting.
