COMMONWEALTH LOAN
PROPOSAL TO BORROW IN FRANCE
By Telegraph. Press Association. Copyright
Melbourne, Nov. 18.
The late Sir Andrew Clarko collected some valuable information for Sir George Turner as to the kind of reception a Common wealth conversion loan would have in London, New York, or Paris. Sir George Turner believes strongly that if the Federation took the States debts over, all the accommodation that would be needed could be obtained in Paris. He was not much impressed with the prospects in New York. It was merely a matter of getting the best terms possible. He was inclined to believe these could be got in Paris.
