The Government schooner Countess c( Ranfurly reported io Capa Maria on Saturday that she had sighted a raft and searched Molupic Island, but saw no survivors. The raft sighted was that east adrift by the survivors brought to town by the Zealandia. All the raft survivors are doing well. Johnston who drank salt water, is in the woist condition, but in not in danger. The Premier ims telegraphed to tho survivors congratulations of tho Government on their escape from a terrible dentil, and heartfelt sympathy with them in their sulinrings. He trusts they will be speedily restored to good health. The young man who died on tl.o raft has been identiiied as Lancelot Flower, only son of tho late Gerald Flower, of Auckland, lie had been on a visit to Sydney.
ASSISTING THE SUFFERERS.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night. At a meeting convened by the Mayor to consider tile question of raising funds for the relief of sufferers by the Elingiunito disaster.it was decided to open subscription lists for that purpose.
