That the said John Alfred Harding is President of the Licensed Victuallers’ Association at Gisborne, and the said John Macnicol Gumming is Secretary to the said Association, 2. That the said Licensed Victuallers’ Association has not in any manner howsoever now or at any other time promised, contracted, or agreed directly or indirectly to contribute of pay anything in money or in money’s worth to the said William Douglas Lysnar for or on account of his expenses or action in opposing Prohibition. 3. Tiiat we solemnly declare no portion of the funds of the said Association have been used or applied for any such purpose either directly or indirectly., And I, the said William Douglas Lysnar, for myself, say : 1. That I have not received nor arranged to receive either directly or indirectly any money or consideration of any kind from the Licensed Victuallers Association or any Publican or any person connected with the liquor traflic for my expenses or services in opposing Prohibition. 2. That the whole of the expenses hat I have paid up to tins date in ipposing Prohibition, both at the lb. J -oil and the coming Poll, have been aid by myself, and no person wliosover has at any time paid or given no anything for or on account of he same. AND we jointly and severally make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to he true, and by virtue of the-provisions of an Act ot the Geueral Assembly of New Zealand intituled “ The Justices ot the Peace Act, 1882.” J.
