Death of a Pioneer.
[By Telegraph—Press Association.) Ashburton, last night. Mr David Gordon Holmes, a pioneer settler of the Ashburton county, and under whoso supervision the Lyttelton tunnel was constructed, died at his residence at Bakaia, last night, aged 67.
