CROWN LANDS BALLOT.

• Considerable interest was attracted to the ballot for the sections thrown open for selection in the Motu.Nuhaka, Uawa, and other districts. The baliot took place at the Drill-shed yesterday, and was conducted by Mr Stevenson Smith, Chief District Surveyor, G, Darton, and other members of the Land Office staff. Major McCredie and Mr A. F.
