MOST SUCCESSFUL GATHEIiING By Telegraph—Truss Association. Palmerston North, last night. The second day ol tho A. and P. Show proceeded in lice weather. There was a large attendance from all parts, every train coining into town being crowded with visitors. All stock was on the grounds, and judging was commenced at one o'clock, and except in the horses was practically complete. The following are tho winners of the points prizes:— Lincolns, W. 11. The following won championships : Shorthorn hull, Mctiardy Bros. ; cow, L>. McLean, Hastings; Hereford buli and cow, J'as. Stuckey ; Jersey bull and cow, J.t. Lancaster, Paunerstun North ; Ayrshire bull, G. W. Liixlord, Palmerston North ; cow, S. Standee, Palmerston North; Polled Angus cow, J. J. Campbell, Wangunui. Horses: Thoroughbred stallion, E. 11. The factory butter competition was won by the Pobangina factory with 92 points; ltunhiiie, 91$ points, 2; Apiti, 91 points, 3. The maximum was 160. The takings are TIOO better than last year. The weather promises to bo Hue for tomorrow, “ Peoples' Day.”
