SHIPMENTS FOR SYDNEY AND HONOLULU? . [By '/olograpn Press Association.] Auckland, last night. The Siorra, which loft fur Sydney this morning, took 838 quarters of frozen hoof. The Waik»re for Sydney this evening took 380 sheep, 45 bullocks, 16 cows, 1541 sacks maize, and 11 j pieces of frozen beef, and tho Ventura took 300 eareasos of frozen mutton for Honolulu, tho first largo shipment ever made to that port.

YOUNG MAN FALLS OVER CLIFF.

Westport, last night. A young man named Williams, a riativo of Hokitika, about 21 years of age, fell aver a cliff 30 feet high while proceeding from Burnett's Face, the Kiwi section of tho Wcstport-Coal Company’s mines, on Monday night. Ho lauded on a rocky lodge, and from there rolled into tho creek. Two of his mates, on their way to work at 11 p.m., heard groans, and discovered Williams, whom they carried hack to Burnett’s Face, but ho never rec -r,rcd consciousness, dying about 4 a.m. .o day. Deceased was held in high respect by the community.
