DEATH OF MRS HOOD, SEN
By telegraph—Press AssociationNew Plymouth, last night. Mrs Hood, one of tin? first settlers of Netv Plymouth, is dead. She armed on March 31st, 1811, and catried on a drapery business until nine years ago. She died in iter eightieth year.
Mrs Hood was the mother of our worthy townsman, Mr T. Hood, chemist. That gentleman hastily left tiisborne, hut might be unable to reach New Plymouth before the death occurred.
