(Per Press Association.) Nelson, last night. Addresdng his committee to-niglit, Mr J Graham said that at the present time an Independent meant an opponent of the present Government, and ho declared niiuself to be a strong supporter so long as the Government earned out tlio policy of settling people oil tlie land, of advances to settlers, and other Liberal measures. Ho was bound to support them as he had lone in the past.
