He has stood in the Wairarapa for four seasons, where his stock is in great demand. He has never lieen beaten in the Show ring. Took first prize in the Wairarapa and East Coast A. and P. Society’s Shows, 1396, as the best coaching stallion on the ground ; also, first in 1897, and Gold Medal at same Show ; also, lirst at Wellington A. and P. Show, 1897. First prize at Masterton, 1898 ; also, first prize at same grounds, February 22nd. 1899. Robin Hood, by St. Albans.—St. Albans sire of Tasman ; dam trotting mare Nellie, by Monga Park. Monga Park sire of Maid of Munster, Rockwood, and Moonlight. Maid of Munster ran second in Christchurch over hurdles, also won five trotting races, and won the three-mile trot in 8 minutes. Was sold for 100 guineas to go to Melbourne. Won one trotting race there, and was afterwards disqualified for life, for running under a wrong name. Was shown at Sydney, and took first prize as the best jumper on the ground ; first prize as best trotter, first as -brood mare, and first and special as the best mare on the ground Afterwards was sold to* Mr Bartlett, of Sydney, for 200 guineas, to go to England where she now is. REDSTONE, Owner., —Or, Groom in charge. rpO STAND AT ORMOND ’ THIS SEASON, And to travel district, The Oldenburg Carriage Stallion, DELPHIN-Dem-uin, imported direct from the celebrated Oldenburg Stud, Suwundan, near Rodenkichea, Grand Dukedom of Oldenbure, Germany. Horses from this stud have lately saken over 400 prizes and medals m Europe ana America. Delphin is the true type oi a coaching stallion, and is, in fact, the only specimen to be seen in the Hemisphere. He was bred by Edward Lubben, and foaled 22nd April, 1887; is a rich blood biy with two white ankles, and stands 16 hands 3 inches high. Delphin’s breeding is of the most successful strains, being got by Magnet by igimemnon, hy Yeliachich, dam by Zerneiog, by General Garl, Wedel by Boradih Hre breeding of horses in Germany i s paid peat attention to by the Government, and ill the stallions at the service of the public lave to be passed by the Government Veterimry Surgeon as sound, and of good conformation and constitution. Delphin is a handome blood bay horse, of grand proportions, 'so splendid conformation. He is of a boroughly sound constitution, most docile Binper, superior action, and is a sure foaletter. The stock of Delphin should oomland extreme prices when mated with good lares, such as superior carriage horses, pstanding hacks, cross-country horses, Inian remounts, and cavalry horses. Delphin as the winner of the first prize at the Feblary Show, and also first prize and certificate ; the September Show at Wanganui in 891; first in 1594 as the best horse on the round.
