Kermody bad made very complete arrangements for the sale, and as tho reserves were fairly low it wai, generally expected that most of tho properties would havo been dispusod of. The result was therefore all the moro disappointin g. Tho town sections included the follow ing ; Alii'ltown : Section 34, one acre, passod at £"BS. Section 8, haif-acre, passed at 21oJ. The other sections were passed in. Custom House street and Harris street: Lot 1, quarter-acre in Harris street, with cottage, passed at £4OO. Sections 6 and 7 (Porter’s Hall property), half-acre, were pussed at £9OO. Palmerston road: Soction 250, quarteracre, passed at £BO, Section 258, quarter-acro, with dwelling recently occupied by Mr O’Meara, surveyor, was Bold to Mr G. Grant for £250. Custom House streot: Soction 5, quarter aero, pussed at £350. Block 175, corner of Gladstone and Roebuck roads : All the sections wore pussed. Section 110, 4 acres 8 roods 10 perches, 10-roomcd house (Mr Shelton’s late residence), passed at £I2OO. WHATAUPOKO. Section 61, half-acre, with 5 aero dwei’ ling, at present occupied by Mr R. Carlile, passed at £450. VICTORIA TOWNSHIP. Section 63, quarter-acro, passed at £SO. HAITI. Section 22, Block 324, 3 acres 3 roods 33 perchos, Wainui road, pussed at £l5O. Sections 12 and 13, Block 260, 50 acres, six-roomed dwelling, passed at £25 an acre. l’ututahi township : Section 60, quartoraero, was sold at £2O 15s to Mr M. Anglond, Section 7, quarter-acro, brought £ls, Mr Angland being the buyor. Section 11, quarter-acre, £23, Mr Gilman ; Section 01, quarter-ucre, Mr Atkins, £22; Section 10, £2l 103, Mr Atkins ; Section 11, £lB, Mr Atkins.
Matawhoro: Section 34, Toanga, 10 acros, was passed in at £3O per acre. Section 27, Rosoland, ouo aero, with dwolling of 7 rooms, gardon and orchard, was sold at £225, Air Daly boing the purchaser. Te Karaka: Soction S, containing 5 acres 2 roods 32 parches, sub-divided into smull sections.
For Section 1, 1 rood 10 perches, there was an offer of £26, at which price it wus passod. For Section 4, 1 rood 9 perchos, £25 was offorod.
Section 5,2 roods 25 perches, was passod in at £33. Lot 6, of the same area, was also passed. Maraetaha (Nick's Head), No. 6, 500 acres, pussed at £5 ss. Other sections submitted woro also passed in.
