Robin Hood, by St. Albans.—St. Albans sire of Tasman ; dam trotting mare Nellie, by Monga Park. Monga Park sire of Maid of Munster, Roekwood, and Moonlight. Maid of Munster ran second in Christchurch over hurdles, also won five trotting races, and won the three-mile trot in 8 minutes. Was sold for 10(1 guineas to go to Melbourne. Won one trotting race there, and was afterwards disqualified for life, for running under a wrong name. Was shown at Sydney, and took first prize as the best jumper on the ground ; first prize as best trotter, first as brood mare, and first and special as the best mare on the ground Afterwards was sold to Mr Bartlett, of Sydney, for 200 guineas, to go to England where she now is. It will he seen by the above that Robin Hood, as a coaching stallion, cannot he beaten. TERMS : Single mares,£3 3s ; two or more mares, as per agreement. Delphis, imported direct from tho celebrated Oldenburg Stud, Suwundan, near Rodenkichea, Grand Dukedom of Oldenburg, Germany. Horses from this stud have lately taken over 400 prizes and medals in Europe and America, Dolphin is the true type of a coaching stallion, W. »? '“‘t* 9 b ?, S ‘ specimen to be seen in the Henna,,- '• was bred by Edward Limbec, and foaled 22nd April, 1887; E a rich blood bay witn t'.vo white ankles, and stands 10 hands 3 inches high. Delphin’s breeding is of tho most successful strains, being got by Magnet by Agamemnon, by Yellachich, dam by Zernebog, by General Garl, Wedel by Boradil. The breeding of horses in Germany is paid great attention to by the Government, and all the stallions at the service of the public have to be passed by tbe Government Veterinary Surgeon as sound, and of good conforuation and constitution. Delphm is a handsome blood bay horse, of grand proportions, fiso splendid conformation. He is of a Roroughly sound constitution, most docile lemper, superior action, and is a sure foal:etter. The stock of Delpbin should command extreme prices when mated with good nares, such as superior carriage horses, ipstanding hacks, cross-country horses, Inlian remounts, anU cavalry horses. Delphm irns tbe winner of the first prize at the Febuary Show, and also first prize and certificate t the September Show at Wanganui; in 8!)1; first in 1891 as tbe best horse on tbe round.
