Some time ago the employees of the Amalgamated Tin Plate Company, J’ii Usburg, were asked to accept a temporary reduction of 2-0 per cent, in wages, in order to prevent a large order goiog to Wales. Mislead of a temporary 20 a general reduction of .'i per cent, is now made, which enables the Standard Oil Company to huy Lhe required tin plate in America.
