LORD HAWKE'S TEAM,
Tlio following particulars of the team Lord Hawke, the Captain of the Yorkshire County Cricket Club, is bringing to New Zealand, will be read with interest. The team consists of the following : Lord Hawke, Warner, Burnup, Taylor, Fane, Bosanquet, Johnson (Cambridge), Stanning (Cambridge), Dowson, Leatham, Hargreavc, Thompson (Northampton), and an amateur wicket keeper. They sailed by tlio Majestic on October 12th, via San Francisco, unci will probably play at Hobgrt, Auckland, Taranaki, Wanganui, Napier, Wellington, Christchrist, Dunedin, Invercargill, and against r combined New Zealand Igam.

Johnston, who played for Cambridge in tlio University match lastyear, averaging 17-10 runs, and taking 13 wickets for 34.
Two or three Thompson’s aro included in last year’s returns, but G. J. Thompson, a well-known bat and bowler, is probably the man indicated.
Dowson played in the Oxford Cambridge match this year, his averages for the University being, batting 3852, bowling 65 wickets for 18 G.
