bookmakers fined.

Palmerston North, last night. At tho Buffs B.M.’ Court to-day, six bookmakers were fined i's and X’l 10s 4d costs each, for trespassing on the Bulls racecourse at a recent race-meeting. AN OPPOSITIONIST. Mr T. R. Holder, one of the candidates for the Palmerston seat, addressed the electors at Longburn to-night. He declared himself in opposition to the Government, mainly on account of their maladministration.
