The above pedigree is undoubtedly “18-carat,” containing the strains of several famous families, and breeders who take advantage of this horse’s services at his present low fee (£3 3s) are likely ere long to be in a position of congratulating themselves on their foresight. Bulldog now enters on his fourth season at the stud. He has grown into a handsome stallion of the low-legged type, is very docile, and a sure foal-getter. The champion Gold Medallist is by Medallion, a son of Nordenfeldt and as there are only a few sons cf Nordenfeldt left in the colony, Bulldog should again be well patronised by breeders. Those requiring the services of a good entire should not fail to look into Nordenfcldt’s successes. Terms : Single mare, id 3s ; two or more as per agreement. Good paddocaing provided. Took first prize in the Wairarapa and East Coast A. and P. Society’s Shows, IS9G, as the best coaching stallion on the ground ; also, first in 1897, and Gold Medal at same Show ; also., first at Wellington A. and P. Show, 1897. First prize at Masterton, 1898 ; also, first prize at same grounds, February 22nd, 1899.

Monga Park sire of Maid of Munster, Rockwood, and Moonlight. Maid of Minister ran second in Christchurch over hurdles, also won five trotting races, and won the three-mile trot in 8 minutes. Was sold for 100 guineas to go, to Melbourne. W.m one trotting race there, ami was afterwards disqualified for life, 'for running under a wrong name. Was shown at Sydney, and took first prize as the best jumper on the ground ; jirst prize as best trotter, first as brood mare, and first and special as the best mare on the ground Afterwards was sold to Mr Bartlett, of Sydney, for 200 guineas, to go to England where she now is. DELPHINC Delpdin, imported direct from the celes brated Oldenburg Stud, Suwundan, near ] Rodenkichea, Grand Dukedom of Oldenburg, Germany. Horses from this stud have lately taken over 400 prizes and medals in Europe , and America. Delphin is the true type of s coaching stallion, and is, in fact, the best specimen to be seen in the Hemisphere. He was bred by Edward Eubben, and foaled 22nd April, 1887; is a rich blood bay with two ! white ankles, and stands 10 hands 3 inches high. Delphin’s breeding is of the most i successful strains, being got by Magnet by Agamemnon, by Yellaehich, dam by Zernebog, by General Garl, Wedel by Boradil. The breeding of horses in Germany is paid great attention to by the Government, and all the stallions at the service of the public have to be passed by the Government Veterinary Surgeon as sound, and of good conformation and constitution. Delphin is a handsome blood bay horse, of grand proportions, atso splendid conformation. He is of a. thoroughly sound constitution, most docile temper, superior action, and is a sure foalgetter. The stock of Delphin should command extreme prices when mated with good ( mares, such as superior carriage horses, ( upstanding hacks, cross-country horses, In- ' dian remounts, and cavalry horses. Delphin j was the winner of the first prize at the Feb- s rtsary Show, and also first prize and certificate j, at the September Show at Wanganui in B | 1891; first in 1891 as the best horse on the "j ground.
