(To tho Editor of tho Times). g; r , Your ablo loader on this disastrous strike in America shows that with all America's boasting of being tho homo of brave and tho land of the froe, that such is”far from its actual truth. Now Zealand ofton jeered at has set a good example to tho wholo world which it would bo for their benefit to imitato. namely, manhood suffrave, women included, compulsory concilliation and arbitration, and other useful laws for tho benedt of tho groat majority. These measures which wo enjoy prccludo any possibility of such awful loss of wealth and such suilering as is ontailed on tho public of Amorica generally, and any other nation whero laws such as wo enjoy aro unknown. All honor to thoso who aro providing fuel to tho poor, let us hope tho American Government will take SP oedy steps to aid the above troubles and legislate to prevent a recurrence of such calamities.— I am, etc., So MOTE IT BE.
