(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. The Acting-Premier denies that any date has been lixed for the general elections. The matter lias not been decided yet. DUNEDIN, last night. Mr J. Wright, speaking at Allatiton last, night, declared himself an out-and-out, supporter of the Government, an opponent of the Farmers’ Union as at present constituted, which he termed a landowners’ association. He favored Bible reading in the schools and opposed prohibition, considering the present law satisfactory. A vote of thanks was passed. WESTPORT, last night. Air John Foster, President ol the Deimiston Miners’ Union, has been mentioned as a probable candidate for Duller seat, but declines nomination.
