Auckland, last night

At a meeting of delegates representing the various temperance organisations, the committee previously appointed reported as follows : “The Committee recommend that no candidates be nominated by the Temperance party, but that we pledge ourselves to give all possible support to any man of sterling character who will come forward practically in our interests.” The report was adopted. After discussion, it was decided that the opinion of all candidates he asked on the question of the three-fifths’ majority provision.
