By Telegraph—rPreaa Association* Wanganui, last night. Tho mombers of the Wanganui Licen* sing Committee have been served with a writ at the instance of Murdoch Stuart, of Wanganui, master mariner, notifying that counsel will on his behalf move in the Supremo Court at Wellington to order that a writ of mandamus be issued commanding the defendants to grant an application to hoar and determine plaintiffs application for the issue of a packet license for the steamer Wairore, between Castlecliff and Whenuatero, made to defondants on the 6th June, 1902, upon the grounds that thoy acted in refusing to crant the said packet license upon the assumption that they had no power to crant such an application for a further distance between Castlecliff and Parlkioo.
