NEW ZEALAND AMATEUR ROWING ASSOCIATION.

The adjourned annual meeting of the New Zealand Amateur Rowing Association was hold to night, when further consideration was given to the proposed new rules. Rule 8 was altered to read as follows :—“ Tno local Association shall decide all questions arising out of interpretation of rules, and all protests and disputes with their own districts respectively, and in case of misconduct either on tbo part of individuals, crews, or clubs under their jurisdiction may, after enquiry, recommend to the Managing Committee infliction of any penalty they think necessary, provided that any decision of the local Association under this rule may be appealed against to tbo Managing Committee.
The proposal of the representative of che Kawatiri Club, Westport, to provide for the formation of the West Coast as u local Association, was lost. The delegate urged that it was nut right that the Kiwaru Club, being tho only club on the West Coast, should be attaebed to Nelson •Association. It was decided that each local Association should pay an annual subscription to tho New Zealand Association of fourpouce per head for each active paying member. It was decided that tho delegates should at the annual meoting at the beginning of tho season deeido at which regatta tho championship would be bold. An atnendmonc that Wellington should bo the pormaneut courso was lost on the voices.
