THE GERALDINE RACES. By Telograph—Press Association. Timaru, last night. The attendance was good, but the weather was extremely cold for the Geraldine Spring meeting. The totalisator bandied TIO9O. Following are the results : Hunters’ Hurdles. — Shooting Star 1, Agitator 2, Swagger 3. All started. Won by a couple of lengths. Divs. .£4 2s and £1 14s. Squattors' Handicap.— Magnificent 1, Canburn 2, Punawa3. All started. Won by two lengths. Divs. £3 and £1 2s. Geraldine Trot.—John Brown 1, Club Member 2, Carodic 3. Rupeo was scratched. Won by a head. Divs. £3 10s and £2. Racing Club Handicap.— Terrapin 1, Cameo 2, Flame 3. Ardnarf was scratched. Won by three-quarters of a length. Div. £1 19s. Flying Handicap.— Rosemcre 1, Cora Linn 2, Flirt 3. Reflex and First Shot wero scratched. Won by a longth and a half. Div. £1 18s. Orari Trot.' s—Silver 5 —Silver Sash 1, Sound Sense 2, Little Bill 3. Von Wilkes and Silverwood were scratched. Won easily. Div £1 18s and £9 12s. Belfield Handicap. —Lady Lillian 1, Puawai 2, First Shot 3. Fairy Queen was scratched. Won easily by two lengths and a half. Divs. £3 and £1 6s.
