PURCHASED IN AMERICA FOR £2OO. Special to Times. Auckland, last night. There has boon imported by the mail steamer Sonoma a jack donkey for breeding purposes for a station-owner at Gisborne. Tho animal is a magnificent specimen of tho well brod donkoy, standing nearly sixteen hands high. He is now in a stall at the Loan and Mercantilo Company’s yard in Durham Btreot. Ho was purchased in America for about £2OO, and is to bo used for tho purposo of breeding mules on tho Waipuru station, Gisborne.
