SEVERE SNOWSTORMS., '(Per Press Association). NAPIER, last night. Wintry weather continues. A heavy fall of snow occurred this morning, adding to the variety of our experiences. WAIPAWA, last night. A heavy fall of snow has occurred in the Blackburn, Makelu, and Waipawa, districts. The bills have a thick mantle. Snow also fell on the plains, accompanied by blinding showers of bail and sleet. PANNEVIRKE, last night. There are no sigufi of the weather Clearing. Snow fell during inc night. A heavy fall occurred this morning. PALMERSTON N., last night. The gale continued with unabated fury during the night, acco npamed by driving showers of hail. The lolls arc covered with snow this morning. The wind has now dropped, and the weather is clearing. The gale was very severe in Fci filing last night, and it has been snowing today, MANGAWEKA, last night. Hail fell almost all night, and the country is covered to a depth of three inches Uiis morning. Snow ; s now falling. The main road from here to Utiku is completely blocked by a slip two chains long. The Ran.ptikei river is in high flood, and it is feared that the low-level bridge in course of erection will lie damaged again. MASTEItTON, last night.

The weather was very rough and boisterous,accompanied by hail, hut has now cleared. The hills down to within a few miles of the coast are thickly coated with snow, and should warm weather set in there are pretty certain do lie very heavy floods. REEFTON, last night. A heavy fall oLsnow took place last night, and it is four inches deep. There is now brilliant sunshine, and the snow is melting, fast. Great damage has been done, gardens and early crops being destroyed and fruit trees injured. INVERCARGILL, last night. The weather continues bitterly cold, with hail and snow at intervals.
