PARLIAMENTARY.

LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, last night. The Council met at 2.30. The Unclaimed Moneys Act Amendment Bill, Stamp Act Amendment Bill, and Electoral Bill were read a second time.

HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.

Tbe House met at 2.30. The Naval Subsidy Bill, to provide for payment of £25,000 subsidy to the Austro lasian navy, was read a first time. A Select Committee was set up to consider the Municipal Corporation Act Amendment Bill. Questions occupied the remainder of the afternoon. The House resumed at 7.30. The Land Transfer Act Amendment Bill passed through Committee. The Accident Insurance Company’s Bill passed through Committee. In Committee on the Land Titles Protection Bill an amendment to the effect that the power of allowing cases to be brought should be vested in a Judge of Supreme Court instead of the Governor in Council was lost by 43 to 11.
