EAST COAST LANDS.

| Special to Times. | Wellington, last night. Mr W. L. Rees is still lobbying here waiting for the Board to be set up under the East Coast Trust Laud Bill. The Board will consist of three Europeans. The Cabinet has not yet decided who shall be appoic-.ed. The Chief Justice says that the Court of Appeal will sit in Wellington on the 13th October. The judgments io the Gisborne Native land cases will then be given. Owing to the heavy nature of the cases he has been uuable to take them into consideration so far, not having a moment to give to them since the hearing terminated. He says that they really require a week’s hard work for him.
