A SAD ACCIDENT.
MAN DROWNED,
By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, last night. Frank Kennevan, fireman of the Nairnshire, lying at the wharf at Port Chalmers, left the steamer at 9.15 to proceed up town. He had not gone many yards before he fell overboard. Ropes were thrown and a boat launched, but deceased was dead when the body was recovered. At the inquest the jury returned a verdict of accidentally drowned, w.th a recommendation that life buoys be kept in readiness along the wharves, instead of at the end, and othet precautions taken,
