AN INTERVIEW REFUSED.
By Telegraph. Press Association. Copyright Rome, Sept. 16. The French Minister to tbe Vatican supported tbe newspaper Matin in a request to interview the Pope. Cardinal Rampola, the Pope’s Secretary of State, in a letter to tbe French Minister, states that the Pope resolves not to litter a word for or against the French policy, or calculated to fan party politics. The interview was refused.
