49 LIVES LOST. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Bombay, Sept. 15. Floods destroyed a bridge at Mangapatriam, precipitating the Madras and Bombay mail train into tho river. Eight European passengers, including four soldiers, forty native guards, and tho driver perished. All the first-class passengers were saved.
