AGRICULTURAL MATTERS.

(Special to Times.) Wellington, last night. The Agricultural and Stock Committee have recommended that the Stud Bill and important evidence taken on it be forwarded to the Agricultural and Pastoral Association, Farmers’ Societies, and owners of the principal horse-breeding establishments in the colony, those bodies being invited to forward the Minister of Agriculture their views as to what legislation on toe subject is necessary by next session. It is understood that the bill and evidence are of great importance to all horsebreeders, especially owners of stallions. The Department of Industries reports that from January, 1901, to date 115,907 tons of oats have been inspected and graded for troops in South Africa. The Imperial authorities were satisfied with all shipments.
