GAS IN NAPIER
(l’er Press Association.) Napier, last night.
Tiie Borough Council at their meeting to-night decided to refer to the ratepayers a proposal to purchase the business and plant of the Napier Gas Company. The mover said that the amount now paid yearly to the Company by the Corporation, if capitalised, would be sufficient to erect a similar plant to that possessed by the Company.
