Tho weather was dull, Bhowors delaying tho start. The Players won the toss, and batted. Vino and Levy oponed. Tho former, when five, was caught by Darling. Ono for 15. Washington contributed seven and was caught by Armstrong. Two for 27, Levy had 85 to his .credit when he was run out. Three for 02. Quaifo and Arnold made a good stand, and carried tho total into the 90’s before Saunders bowled Arnold, four for 08. Without any addition to tho score tho samo bowler captured Rolf, making his 100th wicket for tho tour. Killick partnered Quaife, and they wero still together at tho tea adjournment. Quaife, who played a good innings, was caught clovoriy by : Saundors at cover-point, the fieldsman falling over. Eight for 175. Trott and Gaukrodgor partnered, tho former played I Hopkins on after scoring a single. Nino c for 177. Tate was tho last man. lie 1 mndo soven, and thon Jones bowled him t in good stylo, tho innings closing for 1 184.
