By Tolograph—Press Association, Wellington, last night. Tho roprosontativo match, Wellington v. Wairarapa, was playod on tho Athlotic Park. Tho woathor was cold, and a strong northorly wind swept ovor the ground, which mado passing difficult and kicking moroly a matter of luck. During tho first spoil Wallace scored a try for Wellington. This was converted by Spence. No further seoro was made during tho game, tho visitors boing dofeatod. Tho scores woro : Wellington 3 Wairarapa 0 Tho Wellington toam playod a poor gamo, and woro successfully emulated by their opponents. Packed scrummages and ineffective back play woro the most noticeable foatures of tho match. Prodigious efforts wore made by tho burly vanguard from tho country to run over the city players. They succeeded in doing this in most cases, but showed utter lack of reason in subsequent methods of attack, and thoir back division went all to pieces when combination was necessary. The Wellington backs woro also o good deal bolow par, and tho forwards certainly not up to tho form of previous years.
