LAURIER IN FRANCE.
ADVOCATES AN ANGLO-FRENCH ALLIANCE.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Paris, Aug. 23. Sir Wilfrid Laurier, the Canadian Premier, speaking here, advocated an AngloFrench allianco as a guarantee of universal peace. It is reported that Sir Wilfrid Laurier is willing to concede French products imported into Canada a measure of preference if Canadian products aro admitted into France at a minimum tariff.
